Last Flag lore and world-building. The Show, Victor Fex, character backstories and the alternate 1970s setting of 197X.

The Show is the in-universe framing for Last Flag's gameplay. Created and hosted by media mogul Victor Fex, it is a televised capture-the-flag competition broadcast worldwide in an alternate 1970s setting. Every match is an episode, arenas look like natural environments but are filled with advertisements, and nine contestants from around the world compete.
Victor Fex is the media mogul who created and hosts The Show in Last Flag's alternate 1970s setting. He controls every aspect of the competition from arena design to broadcast presentation. Not playable, he appears through world-building and a voice-over Player Coach system that tracks deaths, upgrade availability and match progress during games.

Last Flag is set in 197X, an alternate-history 1970s where funk, disco and retro-futuristic technology define the culture. The game runs on Unreal Engine 5 with DLSS support. The soundtrack was recorded on vintage instruments by Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons), JT Daly (Grammy-nominated) and Dave Lowmiller (Battlefield, Dead Space).
