The World of 197X

Last Flag is set in "197X" - an alternate-history 1970s where funk, disco and retro-futuristic technology define the culture. The art style blends spy-thriller aesthetics with game-show spectacle.

The game runs on Unreal Engine 5 with DLSS support. The art style is colourful and stylised with a retro-futuristic palette.

Music was composed by Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons), JT Daly (Grammy-nominated) and Dave Lowmiller (Battlefield, Dead Space). All recorded using vintage instruments on vintage gear.

There are 10 victory animations: Concert Lights, Falling Bullets, Falling Leaves, Falling Roses, Firework Show, Gears, Paint Swirl, Purple Particles, Sparks and Star Lights. Plus 6 tutorial cinematics covering flag hiding, Cashbot leveling, radar capture, flag finding, flag planting and flag defence.
